A bright sunny morning in Edinburgh, although I know from years of experience that despite the pretty blue sky the weather can change completely within hours – sometimes within minutes.
It’s the morning after the technical rehearsal and as I stayed up past my bedtime (10 pm) I will be no use for anything later today. The rehearsal went exceptionally well – it was the first time B, K and I as back-stage people had seen the whole play, and it was very entertaining. Of course we had one eye on the set all the time. It does look much more orange under the lights, making an interesting contrast with the bright red of some of the costumes. But the main thing is that the shield above the french windows hasn’t yet fallen on anyone’s head.
The above sounds terribly amateurish but the acting is in most cases almost professional in standard.
